The fifth annual Greenville Area Green Building Tour will take place Saturday, October 9th from 10 AM to 3 PM in conjunction with PCC, local builders, and green vendors and subcontractors.

The tour will kick-off at Pitt County Community College where you'll find one home built by PCC students using new techniques in building science. Other homes are at various locations in the county. All four offsite homes are about 20 minutes or less from PCC home base.

For more information, Contact Karen Wagner at 252-328-4980   or     Email: wagnerk@ecu.edu

This year's tour focuses on energy efficiency, building science, and renewable energy, and will also feature four residential projects - one built with insulated concrete forms, two NAHB Certified Green Homes and Energy Star (one of which has thermal solar), and one new construction garage with a 5.16Kw photovoltaic solar system generating enough power to the adjacent home to make it close to a net zero carbon footprint.
